Künstlerischer Erfolg ist bisweilen keine Frage des herausragenden Talents. Vor allem ist es das Spielfeld des Kunstmarktes, welcher durch teils zufällige oder völlig kunstferne Anreize über die Wichtigkeit und Wertigkeit von Kunst bestimmt. Der Spielautomat »Watchgrabber« stellt diese Asymmetrie aus – und schafft selbst Frustration und Begehren. Kleinformatige Zeichnungen der Künstlerin, welche zunächst keine Verkäufe auf einer Kunstmesse erzielt hatten, sind nun per Münzeinwurf in einem umfunktionierten Greifautomaten zu erwerben. Dabei ist diesind Treffsicherheit und Erfolgschance des Automaten genauso unzuverlässig wie auf einem Jahrmarkt. In einer späteren Variante der Arbeit nimmt der Automat die Werke mehrerer Künstlerinnen und Künstler auf. Während der Bedienung des Automaten können Ausstellungbesucher nicht nur ihr Glück für denbeim Gewinn eines Kunstwerkes versuchen, sondern auch die Ausstellungssituation der Arbeiten im Spielautomaten verändern.
